Our Programs

We provide a great range of programs for young people of all ages

After Dark

This award-winning much loved program has been running for over 15 years and is for young people and the wider community. We offer a safe, teen only space on Friday nights, and a whole of community event each Saturday night. We provide a delicious healthy meal, lots of fun activities including basketball, music, art, movies, hip hop night, cultural workshops and more.

Food Circle

Food Circle is a food relief program focusing on ensuring local families have access to nutritious and fresh food by the weekly delivery of food bags directly to their homes. 

Pathways

Glebe Pathways is committed to developing and delivering programs and supporting the diverse learning and behavioural needs of each student. Our goal is to support students engage with school and the community, and to ensure they have the capacity to achieve their goals, and lead successful, rewarding lives.

 

Girlzone

Girlzone is a friendly and supportive program exclusively for young women (aged 12-16) in Glebe and runs during school terms every Tuesday 3-5pm, in partnership with City of Sydney.

Boyzone

Boyzone focuses on engaging with young at-risk males in the local Glebe area. It provides support in goal setting, life skills, and encouraging physical and social well-being through positive mentoring.

Teentime

Teen Time is a drop-in program for 12-18 year olds that live, work or play in the Glebe area. The program runs on Wednesday afternoons and provides a relaxed, safe space for teens to connect with friends and workers in a positive, judgement free supportive environment.

Music Studio

Our music program provides an opportunity for you to be creative, build confidence, and share their unique story. This fun and creative program builds connections between teens and the wider community.

School Holiday Program

We regularly go on awesome excursions to experience life beyond our campus! Previous excursions have included trips to the bush, AFL camps, swimming meets, trips to Canberra and the Sydney Opera House, surf lessons, and much more.

Middle Ground

Middle Ground was developed in response to the community need for a program focusing on pre-teens transitioning from primary school to high school. This is a critical time in a young person’s life and GYS is committed to children and young people staying engaged in education and providing stability and direction during this time of transition.

Aboriginal Youth Advisory Committee

Local young people, with the support of our Youth Worker, Aiyana Tranter learn leadership skills and grow their confidence in a forum where they have the opportunity to talk about the things that matter to them.
