Winner Excellence in Innovation Network of Community Activities Award 2015
Middle Ground is a City of Sydney led program hosted by Glebe Youth Service. The program is for young people aged 9-13 years who are not old enough to be involved with other Glebe Youth Service programs, yet feel ‘too old’ for after school care.
Middle Ground runs every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons (3pm-5pm). Launched early in 2015 the program has already been rewarded, winning the recent Network of Community Activities Award for Excellence in Innovation.
Whilst the program is driven by City of Sydney, it operates with referral and support from:
- Centipede Out of School Hours Care
- Glebe Tree House Community Centre
- Save the Children
- Glebe PCYC
- Glebe Public School
- Forest Lodge Public School
- St James Primary School, and
- Glebe Youth Services
