Volunteers make a valuable contribution in a range of areas within the Glebe Youth Service community.
Glebe Youth Service’s ‘Food Circle’ program is a community driven initiative that aims to get more quality fresh produce into families homes. With donations from various partner organisations we provide a bag full of fresh fruit, vegies and other staples to a number of families in the Glebe community every week.
We need a volunteer or team or volunteers to collect donated produce from SecondBite who are located in Penrith and Harris Farm located in Broadway Shopping Centre.
This role would involve a volunteer driving a GoGet hire van from Glebe to collect produce from Penrith and Broadway before dropping produce off to Glebe Youth Service and then returning the van to a nearby street. A volunteer is required every Thursday from 9.30am to around 1.30pm.
This position can be filled by a single volunteer, a pair of volunteers or a rotating roster of volunteers. Volunteers will need to provide basic information such as their drivers licence number and contact details and will be signed up to Glebe Youth Service’s GoGet account.
If you and/or a group of friends can help us please contact Eloise Woods – email@example.com or call 02 9552 2873
